Creating a better and brighter future requires love in each present moment. So, what is getting in the way of your loving?
Whenever love appears to be conditional, it is not that love itself is conditional but rather that conditions have been placed upon love. By burdening love with conditions, we attempt to manipulate those having a desire for love, incentivizing them to conform to our wishes. Yet, to do so is to abuse the gift of love.
Seeing as “love” is one of the most overused words in the English language, creating a more loving future benefits from having a clear definition and understanding of what love is. So, here it goes:
This understanding of love explains why love is felt rather than thought. It also explains how loving can be conditional, when one chooses to act upon the love one feels only under certain conditions.
It is by increasing the ability of our world to function that we create a better world. So, to create a better world, we must love our world, both in feeling and in action.
All it takes to facilitate love in your life are two steps. First, allow yourself to feel love. Second, allow yourself to act upon the love you feel. It’s really that simple.
It may seem threatening at first to feel and act upon love so readily. Worrying about the consequences of love is a common way for us both to distract ourselves from feeling love and to refrain from acting upon the love we feel. This is why it is essential to start by loving yourself.
By consistently loving yourself, you allow yourself to feel and act upon your knowing and desire to increase your ability to function. This allows you to experience the benefits of giving and receiving love within the safety of your own self, while also gaining good practice with the two steps of loving.
When you are replete and well-practiced with self love, you are then able to love others with the surplus of love that you feel. It is this surplus of love which then enables you to love regardless of your personal preferences.
It is by loving unconditionally in each present moment that we create a better and brighter future without condition or hesitation. So, love anyway, without condition or hesitation, starting with yourself.
To practice loving anyway, start by finding someone or something that you consider easy to love. Allow yourself to feel a knowing and desire to increase their ability to function. Then, act upon the love you feel for them. Next, find someone or something that you consider difficult to love. Allow yourself to feel a knowing and desire to increase their ability to function. Then, act upon the love you feel for them. It is by loving one just as much as the other that you are truly able to love anyway.
Before continuing on to Step 5 of this series, take time now and throughout the day to practice the two steps of loving, first by allowing yourself to feel love and then by acting upon the love you feel. Start by loving yourself, without condition or hesitation. Then, continue by loving others, without condition or hesitation. As you learn to love anyway, you learn to create a better and brighter future both quickly and unconditionally.
